From Pullman-Moscow Regional (PUW) you'll reach Boise Air Terminal (BOI) in about 1 hr nonstop. We book the flight and arrange your airport transfer, with travel and lodging at the Inn at 500 covered up to 10% of your case fee. You arrive, we handle the logistics.
Travel and accommodation are included up to 10% of your total case fee. On the Medium package ($11,000) that is about $1,100 toward flights and lodging. Anything above that is your responsibility, and we tell you the number before you commit, not after.
Prefer to arrange your own travel? Take the 10% reduction on the case price instead: $11,000 becomes $9,900. Either way the benefit is worth the same, so pick whichever suits you.
The Palouse is easier on a healing scalp than most places we fly patients in from, with one exception: wind. Open rolling farmland means far more exposure than a city block does, and grit carried on the wind is exactly what you do not want against a recipient area in the first couple of weeks. We ask patients here to keep the area covered loosely when they are outside and to wash gently rather than scrub afterward. Summer adds sun on top of that, since the region gets long clear days and a healing scalp burns quickly. Winter is straightforward: cold and wet, but the main thing to manage is the same dry indoor heat that affects everyone, plus the habit of pulling a hood up over fresh grafts. The flight is short enough that none of the usual travel concerns apply on the way home.
No. There is no dedicated FUE hair restoration practice anywhere on the Palouse. Patients here have traditionally driven roughly 75 miles north to Spokane, or further to Seattle, because those are the nearest markets with established clinics. That drive is the alternative most people are actually comparing us against.
About an hour, nonstop. Alaska Airlines flies Pullman-Moscow Regional (PUW) to Boise (BOI) on an Embraer 175, with roughly 17 nonstop flights a month. For a lot of patients here it is genuinely faster to fly to Boise than to drive to Spokane and back in a day.
Compare the actual days. Spokane is about 75 miles of rural highway each way, which is a long round trip on a procedure day and a worse one the morning after. Boise is an hour in the air, and travel and lodging are included up to 10% of your case fee, so you are not paying for the trip twice. You also get an FUE-only practice rather than a general clinic, and follow-up by video instead of another drive up Highway 195.
Flat pricing by case size, not hourly. A typical 1,800-graft case is the Medium package at a flat $11,000, with packages from $8,000 for smaller hairline and crown work up to $14,000 for extensive restoration. Travel and accommodation are included up to 10% of your case fee, about $1,100 on a Medium case, and you get the full figure at your free virtual consult.
It usually does. You need two to three nights in Boise, and the flight is short enough that a long weekend covers the whole thing without missing much. Most patients schedule around a break or a lighter week. Follow-up is handled by video, so there is no second trip built into the plan.
Plan on two to three nights. That covers the procedure day and a check the following morning, and you are typically cleared to fly home after that. With a one-hour flight in each direction the travel itself adds almost nothing to the total time away.
Lewiston and Clarkston are roughly a 30 to 40 mile drive north to Pullman-Moscow Regional, which is a far shorter trip than heading to Spokane. Most patients from the valley drive up, park, and take the nonstop. We handle the booking either way.
Winter weather can affect any regional airport, and Pullman is no exception. We build a buffer day into winter itineraries rather than scheduling a procedure for the morning after a tight connection, and if a flight moves we reschedule around it. That is part of what the concierge side of this is for.
Follicular Unit Extraction removes individual follicular units from the donor area at the back and sides of the head and places them one by one. FUT, the older strip technique, removes a band of scalp and leaves a linear scar. FUE leaves no linear scar, so you can wear your hair short afterward. Mountain Man performs manual FUE only, with each graft extracted and placed by hand.
